My router always reboot, well this is what the guy is telling me in Ny and I'm in Lousiana.

When I do a sh logg it say my router did a cold start.
I'm using ver 12.3 (9a) with 64 dram and 16 flash. This location uses dsl as primary and isdn as a backup.

The guy states it not a power issue in the store. Has any other I.T cats came across something like this

Its probably an SNMP cold start. These are not errors but informational messages. These only get displayed while the router is booting.

I think this is not the reason or an indication of the problem. The real problem is still alluding you. :)

If you do a show version it should tell you how long the router has been up . Then you can tell if it is really rebooting or you are losing power , or you have the router plugged into a outlet that gets shut off everynight or the cleaners are pulling the plug to use it etcc.. :)

WEll, it just rebooted about 30 minutes ago and I get the same thing. I have another tech going out there to check power.

I had once this problem due router overheating. Anyway show version will display reason for reboot.

The reason is always system restart....Why is my stuff restarting. The system restart means either someone powercycle the machine or it was unpluged and replugged.

Please correct me if I'm wrong

If you have a faulty ups power supply this could cause your problem , it is saying it up by power on like it lost power . I have seen where if the ups is faulty it causes this type problem , have it checked .

YOu know the ups does beep and it is having problems. But eh guy told me that it still have problem when it's plugged into the wall

Perhaps you have problem with power from wall NOT ups.
