Route Creation

Hi Guys, things are now getting desperate. Does anyone out there have an idiots guide to creating routes and trunks, i.e a step by step guide. It would be very much appriciated as I have been thrown in the deep end and have very limited knowledge of programming the Meridian. Thanks

I want to create a QSIG trunk to another PBX, a giude to creating trunks, routes etc would be fantastic.

Routs are built in LD 16 but here is a web page that may help you out a bit...

Ld 16 for your Route, Req=new type= RDB then follow the example at the prompts.

Ld 14 for your trunks Req=new type=did for DID trunks, MUS for mus etc, there are a number of choices on trunk type

If you follow the Software input output guide for those loads it will give you everything you need and answer questions. Just go to 14 and 16 and plug in what you need.

Routes are built in LD 16 and Trunks are built in LD 14. You need to build the Routes before you build the Trunks.

are you adding a new t1/pri? if not 16 for routes, 21 to prt routes, 14 for trunks 20 to print trunks.. easy rule, you need and acod for the route, and direction, incoming outgoing or both..and trunk type, everything else can be default, the trunk needs the type and the tn, i add dtn to cls, it's faster then dip.. other then type, either cot tie wat, it takes about 10 min max to build a route and add 24 trunks... in ld 14 new 24 the next prompt is type

if its not an existing T1 and it's a T1 PRI you wanna build, you also need to config a d-channel-

if not a PRI then just build it as a DTI, all in LD 17

Hi Guys, it doesn't currently exisit, its is a new connection between a Meridian Option 11c running Succession RLS 3 using a new PRI2 card going into a MD110 I hope to use QSIG ETSI, is there any other steps I need to take?

the pri card has to be in cab 0, you'll need to add the d, the route and the trunks, build each using return if in doubt, then prt each and rebuild as needed. after you build a few in the trial and error mode it get easy. and don't worry, the merridian is real hard to break. jmo
