Could someone please tell me how to determine if a given extension goes to voicemail or if it rolls over to a different extension for coverage. I have 2 extensions that I want to roll to an assistant instead of going to voice mail. Any help would be appreciated.

You'll need to look at the coverage paths.

First, run disp st XXXX (XXXX=the extension which needs the coverage).

Note the coverage path shown on page one of the station form.

Then type disp cov path XX (XX=the coverage path from the station form).

More than likely, the first point will be a hunt group h__.

This hunt group is your voice mail.

Now to add the desired coverage.

type add cov path next.

Note what the coverage path number is. Adjust how many rings before the call is sent to this coverage path, then put the assistant's extension under point 1. Then put your voice mail hunt group number in point 2. Save your changes.

then type change station XXXX

Change the coverage path selection from it's current to your new coverage path above.

Test your scenario. Unanswered calls will ring to the assistant, and then to the original extension's voice mailbox.

Let me know if you get stuck!
