I plan on using robocopy to migrate files from an old to a new server.

I could trust that robocopy moves all associated permissions with it (I want to retain NTFS permissions). But is there any way to easily verify this?

when robocopying, this utilize does verify with ACLs, so no worry, just go for it.

Make sure you use the switch. Permissions aren't done by default.
