Hi

I set up a win2k advanced server as a DC and we already have NT4 on a separate domain. Win2k trusts NT4 and all users on NT4 domain are granted a local access to the win2k machine. The problem is all the NT4 users use local profiles instead of having a roaming ones. Sometimes when NT4 users log on to win2k the server hungs up for ever.

I'm not exactly sure where the problem could be without knowing much more about your network, but I suspect DNS might be playing a role. Is it installed on DC? Have you configured a reverse-lookup range? Do your NT4 machines point to the AD-DNS?

I'm still learning how AD and DNS work together, so I would not consider myself an authority, but I wanted to at least offer a suggetion.
