If a RMAN backup is split into 100 pieces. How do I check all 100 pieces to see if they ran well in Netbackup?

I want to be able to understand that all 100 pieces make up 1 backup, and then to find out which pieces failed and completed.

Would that be in Netbackup?

You could use bpflist to check the images/files on that backup I guess.
I'm not a NBU expert but if files are missed as part of a backup then would it not complete with status 1.

We have the Oracle Agent for Netbackup, but do not use it.

My DBAs prefer to take their RMAN backups to disk on the server. Then I pick those files up and write them to backup disk / tape.

That way, if they need to restore their databases quickly, they do not have to rely on me to recover the RMAN files from tape first.

Of course, you'll need to have enough disk space to keep the RMAN backups....

But it works great...and they love not having to bug me.
