Did anyone make an image using RIS, for RIS server to mass deploy? I just set up my RIS server (fixed the active directory, DHCP server) and now i need to make an image to see how that works and to test the deployment. Does anyone have any documentation or url that might help me out here? Thx

I have done ris on windows 2000 server for win 2k pro and xp pro. also riprep for win 2k pro, but xp won't riprep on win 2k pro-maybe now you can riprep xp pro using a win 2003 server. assuming you have run the ris set up and it copied the os files from the cd, you should edit the default unattended installation file called ristndrd.sif with the parameters you want for an unattended install, like the os serial number, timezone, display settings etc... your workstation needs to have a pxe compatible nic and dhcp set up. in teh workstation's bios, set it to boot first to pxe. then fire it up and follow the prompts. your other option is to create the ris boot disk using rbfg.exe
if xp pro lets you riprep on windows 2003, isuggest you ris one workstation, then install all of the apps, etc... and riprep that puppy. it's default unattended setup file is riprep.sif It should be the same for the most part between
windows 2000 server and windows 2003. good luck. let me know of any changes with win 2003!
