I need to all phones to be set to ring, but not answer an incoming line without stabbing the line button to answer ringing line. Sometimes an employee needs to make an intercom call and as they lift reciever they answer a ringing line. The prime line is set for intercom.

Any thoughts on this problem.

Thanks as always !

Luv2ski thanks for the reply but.......been there done that and still answers any ringing incoming line. I think with Norstar the bottom line is this "if it is set to ring it answers. Anybody else got an opinion or solution?[upsidedown]

With the Norstar any ringing set,(for whatever-intercom ,trunks, hunt groups, etc.) is given priority to answer the call simply by picking up the handset.

If they don't want that to happen, have them press their intercom key first, dial then pickup

That's true, if it rings, it shall be answered. The only way that I have solved this problem is by installing an AUX Ringer and turning the ring off on each set.
