Hi everyone,

I am new to IP office and need help in an area. Whenever I make a call to the main line extension, an automated voice message which i have programmed will prompt me to enter for eg. 1 for Sales, 2 for Customer Service etc. I would then proceed to key in 1 which will transfer me to the Sales team. But the problem is, while waiting for the Sales team to pick up the call, instead of the normal ringback tone, i would get a 2 beep tone which sounded like the caller on the other side is busy.

I was afraid that callers might think the line is busy and most of them would hang up the call. Is there any way I can change the ringback tone in the background while waiting for the CSOs to pick up the calls?

TIA!

thats because the transfer used is an assisted transfer, which puts the call on hold while it determines the next step, hence why you hear the comfort tones.

better practice is to send the call to a blind transfer and enable queuing on the HG

or have some hold music. The double tone is the default sound used if there is no hold music.

alright i'll try the steps recommended, but is there no way i can put it back to the normal ringback?

or better still have the default hold as a phone ringing, and then upload a different hold wav for calls placed on hold that come into the HG.,
