Is it possible to change ring tones for certain types of incoming calls?

Hot line?
Multiple DNs?
External Call?

etc

Thanks

only internal and external

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

How can I set that up? And isn't it possible to get different extensions to ring differently? Eg, two phones right next to each other with different ringers so you can tell which phone is ringing?

you can set the CLS of the telephone sets to DRG1, DRG2, DRG3 or DRG4. Each one provides a difference ring cadence. DRG1 is the default. (DRG stands for Distinctive Ring).

and on your inbound routes set drng to yes, then pick a table from ld 56 to use for that route.. be careful the default drng will not allow some fax machines to auto answer, the default is one short and one long, in some case i have had to change that to one long then one short to bypass the fax problem..

so if I go to ld 16
chg
rdb
cust 0
rout 0
then dgrn yes
all should be good?

you'll need to answer the next prompt with a drng number or use the default one short one long... not bad but test your fax machines asap
