Here's what I want to do.

I manage the phone system here and also work with the computers. I frequently need to receive calls from ouside service providers who come to service equipment. I don't want to give them my cell phone (not company issue), so I give them my desk phone. I set my desk phone so I can forward external, but I'd rather have the call ring to my phone and if I don't answer, then ring to my cell. I don't want to use my regular extension because everyone calls that for help with their computer issues. So, is there a way I can add a separate extension to my phone that will ring my phone, but if I don't answer, forward to my cell?

Thanks.

Build a phantom DN with DCFW to your cell #. Put the phantom DN on your set on Key 3 or something like that.

Should do the trick

When I tried that, it gave me a SCH6393 (Phantom DN must be defined and unique). Also - that probably wouldn't ring anyway with DCFW.

Phantoms must be unique numbers.
Build a dummy 500, that forwards on no answer to your cell phone and then add the same DN to your phone. You do not have to install the 500 set anywhere.

If a number is on a digial set and also assigned to an analog set the hunting an forward will ALWAYS follow what the 500 set is set to.

Right - but what I was saying is I built the phantom just fine with DCFW to my cell....that works. But when I assigned the DN to a button on my phone, I got the SCH error.

You cannot assign a phantom on another set. Out the phantom and build a regular 500 set that is forwarded to your cell. Put that DN on key 1 on your digital.

Thanks. Was trying to avoid using up an extra analog TN, but that will work fine.

How about a custom revert? Make your "ZERO" an ACD or a phantom that forwards to your cell. People can leave a message or press 0 to get to you.

for that key to stay on that phone and ring, then cfna to the cell.. add an analog ext, marp it there// add fna cfxa plus the fdn.... that's about the only way to have it as a non pdn on a digital set and still forward no answer...
