How do I add this feature to a particular key on an M2616 set? I have never had a request for this feature until last week. Usually our offices just want line appearances, call forward, conference, transfer, intercom, voice mail and autodial buttons. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Ring again will only work within the switch not externally.

What does the user want it for??????

Yes, she just needs it for internal calls. There are a lot of extensions in her office and when she gets a busy signal, she wants to be able to dial them back. Some personnel in her office do not have hunt keys on key 1 for the DNs on key 0.

KEY RGA.

If this is a 3903, 3904 or 3905 this key is reserved on KEY 20.

In Europe with EURO ISDN trunk and the caller and called party are on the same public central type, Ring Again is working on external...!!!!

Instead of taking up a key, consider using LNA.

This allows the user to press their key 0 twice to redial the last number

Lna is not the same as RGA. with RGA if you encounter a busy on your system or in an ESN network, hitting the RGA key Queue's you to that Number and rings you back when it becomes available With LNA you have to keep tring the call untill it goes though.

lna works great for a dial back, but with rga you can make other calls and rga will still work.. we don't use it much because of mail and hunt etc, busy signals are not real common..
