I am having trouble getting the right sides of paragraphs to line up perfectly. All ends of sentances need to stop at the same point.

I know how to do this with the HMI (Horizontal Motion Index EC&k#H) but I have to adjust the # every line to get get the sentances to line up. And that takes way too much time. Is there anyway to get PCL to do this automaticly?

I have to use thefont Arial which doesnt have all characters the same size.

There is no easy way out for this. To justify a line
of random proportional text, you simply have to pre-
determine the printing width of the text, and then
position the text or insert micro spacing accordingly.

The character widths are contained in TFM files, and
are probably available on the HP website. It is a bit
of an ordeal to extract the information though. Quite
possibly more than you want to do.

I assume that you are really talking about both left
and right justification together, typical output from a
word processor.

If you just want right justification and a ragged left
margin, then you may find salvation in the LO command
in HP-GL/2. LaserJets only, though.
