Hello I have been looking at and considering a Riello PWP 800 UPS

I have at the vendor's connected the device in single phase operation, the UPS powers up and the controls seem to be working, no warning lights etc :)

Now.. The problem is that the UPS is in "Remote By-Pass mode" which means it is not working as a UPS, I tried to find the correct option in the menu to switch it to "normal" operation, alas I fail!

I see on that .pdf that on page 24 there is a 15 pin D-sub connector to control the :-

Remote on (Pins 2 - 15(Gnd) for >3 seconds.

Remote off (Pins 2 - 15(Gnd) (same pins as Power on)

Remote by-pass (Pins 7 - 15(Gnd) (Maybe the problem lies here?)

The other pins are for output use!

SO I have not got anything connected to the 15-pin D-Sub, yet the device is in Remote By-Pass mode.

Does anyone have one of these beasts (30 Batteries!) and can shed any light?

Right I think that's enough of a first post now!

If you are ever in Suffolk, knock me up for a beer!
