Talk about being stressed!!!!!

MIMESweeper is just the worst program EVER to work with. It's worse than Microsoft products where it uses ridiculous sayings/names to describe something.

My problem is that, I've just had a new website put up for our company and customers can use the contacts page to E-mail in.

However, ALL e-mails sent from the contacts page end up in the Undetermined Folder, no matter what policy/scenario I choose!

It's absolutely ridiculous!! I'm even thinking about changing the Mail software since it doesn't understand what I'm telling it to do.

Now, I guess I've not really got an awful lot of experience with this peice of software, but hell it just seems impossible. I've created a Scenario to search for specific text in the subject and deliver it if that specific text is found, but it just doesn't want to.

Any input is appreciated, before I take a hammer to the system.

Set up a route using the re-classifier with a classification set above undertermined with deliver action.
classification is say, bad-smtp. Data types SMTP. On corrupt items detected choose your new classification bad-smtp
Easy.

Hi Keith,

I've done that without success.

I've even promoted the folder so it's above the normal incoming/outgoing folders, and when you use the itentify policy wizard, it's even states that the routes are correct.

There's 2 boxes,

On Corrupt Items detected and on sytem failure. BOTH of them are set to "clean" and they still will not deliver the messages in the undetermined folder.

It's crazy!

I've changed the system failure one off incase of a total loss of virus scan, so I'm safe at the moment.

Any other suggestions?

It does say in the Raw-data that it's a bad header type, but it's not, since the mail is RFC compliant and a friend has tested it on other mailservers... Maybe it's my firewall (winproxy) giving it a bad header?

Cheers for the input.

Ian.

What you need to do is set up a classification higher than undetermined with a delivery action. Then change the re-classifier from clean to this higher one. Reason: you can not re-classify lower than the undetermined classification (or this is as I see it)
By the way I use this for bad smtp email so I know it does work. If this still does not work then I'll check my setup and see how I did it.

Keith, your a star.

Should I come to you for future questions about mailsweeper?

LOL.

Problem sorted mate.. Thanks a lot!

Where do I send my donations to?

Ian.
