I recently bought a HP Pavilion dv2815ea laptop which came with Vista. I have installed Windows 2003 server on it ('m a web developer before you ask) and everything works great apart from the ricoh 5 in 1 card reader. I installed the drivers recommeded by HP support
RICOH OHCI IEEE 1394 Host Controller
Ricoh Memory Stick Controller
Ricoh SD/MMC Host Controller
Ricoh xD-Picture Card Controller
and according to the device manager they all say this 'device is working' in their details, but when I insert a SD card although the blue light next to the socket shows the card is not displayed. Looking under disk mangement its not there either. If I put a Sony memory card in a 'Ricoh memory disk device appears under disk drives in device manager but with a yellow exclamation next to it and the error device cannot start. (Code 10).

Iv'e tried various other versions of the drivers and again they all say they are working but I can't get it to recognise an SD Card.

I can't really go to HP as the O/S is not supported by them (though they were helpful in getting the system working) so wondered if anyone can advise what may be going wrong, or how to sort this problem. If it was drivers not working I could understand it - am I pershaps missing something?

Its not a great problem (I could always get a usb hub or something) and the computers running great otherwise but it would be nice to crack this problem
