Hi, I'm just curious if anyone has the RGB numbers or the VB numbers for the standard colors of Monopoly money, specifically the six largest denominations
$500 gold
$100 a pale shade of yello
$50 light blue
$20 light green
$10 yellow (but not too bright)
$5 pink

If anyone has a monopoly set, just look at your money. It doesn't have to be a regular set. I think they use the same color scheme in all games, even star wars monopoly (where I got my list above from) matches my memory of the standard set.

Thanks for any help, if you already have the numbers. It will keep me from doing trial and error to get the values. (I'm not printing the money, but using those colors in sequence in a math board game I'm creating.

Thanks, that was very helpful. I haven't settled on what numbers I'll use, but here are the RGB #'s I wrote down from that site, just in case anyone else visiting this page wants an idea of where to start experimenting:

$500 Gold
Gold: FF D7 00
Orange: FF A5 00

$100 whatever (don't know how to describe)
Wheat: F5 DE B3
papaawhip: FF EF D5
navajowhite: FF DE AD

$50 blue: B0 E0 E6

$20 green:
chartreuse: 7F FF 00
greenyellow: AD FF 2F
lawngreen: 7C FC 00

$10 yellow: FF FF 00

$5 pink
lightpink: FF B6 C1
pink: FF C0 CB

Thanks again, you were a great help and saved me from a lot of trial and error.

Just one other tip would to ensure the colours work well on different monitors would be to use the "safe" colours used in web design. Simply ensure that the numbers for each of the channels is a multiple of 3. e.g. 00, 33, 66, 99, CC or FF.

Thus you might have:

$500 Gold: FF CC 00

$100 Pale Yellow: FF FF CC

$50 blue: 99 99 FF

$20 green: 99 FF 66

$10 yellow: FF FF 00

$5 pink: FF CC CC

These display in 256 colours without dithering
