This is one for the advanced users!

When I send emails out of the domain I seem to be sending:

rcpt to: user@domain.com

but it should go as rcpt to: <user@domain.com>

How do I set the Exchange server to send out with <> as some servers won't accept emails without them?

hmmm, weird

isn't there an antivirus or a firewall in this case that scans smtp traffic?
sometimes those products change headers

by default exchange sends mails in the <user@xxx.yyy> format
I encountered such a thing with watchguard devices and some versions of mcafee smtp scanning

It was working fine until last month for a well known domain allowing a specific country onto the Internet (:-)) but now I can't email them. Doing a telnet manually to their mail server will only allow emails though with the <> but not without. Thought this could be the problem.

Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree...
