There was another thread on this entitled "Star Talk Mini won't recognize year 2000". It was pointed out that you could just use another year with similar days/dates.

This has always worked, except I can't do it for 2012. Similar years are 1984, 1956 and 1928. But entering the last 2 digits of those years gets you <INVALID DATE> err msg.

Are there limits to how far back you can go? Seems like 1989.

Can this thing be flashed to update?

TIA for any guidance.

Cheers.

Thanks, Jeremy. I was afraid of that.

Thanks for your time.

It's a small business, norstarboy125. The system with Compact DR5 was ridiculously expensive when purchased long ago. Maybe that's why I'm hanging on for so long :)

The monthly phone bills are very, very (unjustifiably) high but when I start to look for replacements with a few voicemail boxes, I end up back to where I am. Care to point me somewhere for alternatives here in the Toronto area?

Might not even need a 'system' anymore.

Regards.
