Arcserve 9.01 with the latest patches

Hello All,

We are experiencing the memory leak issue linked to the TSAFS.NLM. We are trying to rev back to TSA600 to address the issue. I have placed the latest version of TSA600 on our server and edited the SMSRUN.BAS which calls the TSA file on startup. I have confirmed once the server is up, TSA600 is loaded and TSAFS is not. Our problem is, each time we run a backup TSAFS is loaded by Arcserve. Does anyone have experience reving back to TSA600 while using Arcserve? Does anyone have any ideas as to what in Arcserve is calling that nlm?

Thanks for any help,

Daniel Joaquin

you have to use tsafs with 6.5.1
i dont think tsands is supported anymore

cant remember where i read this - tsafs fixes the probs with backup exec

back software eh - something so simply and every vendor screws it up -

I'm not familiar with your particular issue, but I have backrev's to TSA600 on NW6.5... The main thing is that you need to delete TSAFS.NLM from your server so it won't autoload. And get the latest TSA600.

Marvin,

You don't think it is necessary to point Arcserve to the TSA600 instead of the TSAFS? I am just worried that it will cause problmes when Arcserve tries to find it and it is gone.

I don't know. When I had to do it, i would manually load TSA600 and arcserve was happy. I don't recall any way to specify the exact filename of the TSA.

Another thing you could do is rename TSA600 to TSAFS. Then it will autoload the correct filename but use the solid code.
