As report generator work seqently (by your index),
you may info from "bottom" page
(for example sum) "move up" by preceding process
and appropriate indexing.
(Although such desire is weird..)

Perhaps you might provide us with some more information on what you are trying to accomplish and, with that additional info., we might be able to offer some alternate approaches to resloving your problem.

Yes, you can control the printer by issuing printer programming commands from your Foxpro application, but it is a tedious and time-consuming process. Additionally it is limited to knowing the program control commands for your specific printer.

The printer operation itself typically cannot be reversed to go down before it goes over, but you can insert CrLf (Carriage Return + Line Feed) characters after your initial print outputs to move the print head down the paper. Then, when you have reached the bottom, you can issue the appropriate commands to return the print head to the top of the same page prior to outputing the remainder of the characters.

BUT, I'd first look at finding another possible approach to the problem before tackling the specific printer command route.

Good Luck,

Are you trying to print in columns? If so, it is more practical to create string lines in arrays for all columns in a page, and send these lines to printer so that all columns print simultaneously.

Thanks

HI Parthi
I have posted a solution for your question (same question)in VFP forum.

are you looking for something like this?

set device to printer
@ x,y say "something"
@ x,y say "something else"
eject
as long as you dont get outside the page boarder this should work

sp mall has the better solution
declare an array the size of your page, then fill in as you please then print. On a small report, you can define multiple pages, but then you have memory issues.
if it is to be it's up to me
