Brothers of the tool bag,

I have a COW ( Corruption On a Wall ) and the software is Kaput. I have all keycodes ETC. and access to NT
old software is registered. The ISSUE: Recieved from my company a dughter bd that had a working issue of 25.40b.
I went into PDT blew out old software. The problem is
I am not succesful getting My downloaded software from NT to the Software daughter bd via PCMCIA card. Do I have to blow out ROM too? Searched NT page, no "steps" to proceed.
Has anyone done this before? I usally just ordered a Duaghter bd with software and reinstalled from there.

never tried to reuse one, but i can't see having to blow away the rom, that db has no mem left of the dongle. so whats the block and do you know it;s a good unit,ie working at last test? i've got some known good "deals" that wern't worth shipping..

Try to update the Boot rom first. When system startup, Ctrl I, and then enter in Utilities menu, update the boot rom from the PCMCIA.
You then may be be able to install your software at next restart.

Tanks' Me Brudders,

John, I cannot say it is good. I only know the
CNTRL saw the old security ID and, as you know my dongle is a mismatch.
Dlesap, so put downloaded PCMCIA in slot B
boot and CTRL I from MENU option 3 and update BOOTROM
and then,option 4?

Main Cabinet Software Installation Main Menu :
1. New Install or Option 11/11E Upgrade - From Software DaughterBoard
2. System Upgrade
3. Utilities
4. New System Installation - From Software Delivery Card

Right.
You didn't need to blew up software first. A new system installation will do it for you, including the database if you choose so.
Regarding the Dongle ID, you just need to insert the dongle for the one you have the keycodes.
If you already have deleted too much files that may be necessary for the system to restart then 2 cases:
1- Your board is good for nothing anymore
2- An other procedure for reloading all the soft on the board exist. It starting with Ctrl B at system startup but i don't have the rest of that procedure under my hand. Tell me if necessary...

Regards

If that is not working you must erease the software daughter board first to load the new software on the daughterboard.
