I have a problem with an IP, say 37, that was reserved on our DHCP for a server. It was targeted by spyware and I can't seem to find a way to break the link. I changed the IP to say 36 on that server and solved the spyware problem but, I can't reserve the new IP because the MAC address is the same as the old IP. So, I would like to retire the old IP but not the MAC as I need this to reserve the IP in the DHCP. I hope I made myself clear enough. Any ideas how I could go about this?
Thanks in advance,
David.
