I've been having problems of late with T'1's going down and the problem is when the phone company repairs the circuit and there showing live data both ways, are phones are still out, so I have to then visit the site unplug the phone system, wait for it to boot back up and have the Ds1 cards resync themselves, then the phones are working again. My question is, is there an easier way or a command I can type in Definity that will tell the Ds1 card to resync itself with the T1? We have a Definity G3R system connected with tie lines to prologix switches. Its a hassle having to visit a site each time a T1 goes down and then when repaired having to unplug a switch because the Ds1 doesnt sync up right.

I had this problem on one of my systems and I could never get it fixed. If the T1 burped...It would never come back up. It was a PRI LD line with Sprint.

I used to busy the board, reset the board, release the board and the signal group would come back up, as well as the rest of the b-channels.

Avaya looked at the problem for months, then charged me to upgrade my switch, an S8100 from rel 11 to rel 12 and it still didn't fix my problem.

I don't know if it helps, but that is what I did...

You are more than likely obtaining your clock from the C.O. and that's the T-1 that keeps burping. If possible try changing the synchronization source to a different T-1. I had a similar problem and after changing the sync source it went away.
