Hello all,

I want to pick your brain's for a little while.
For a few day's now I have been trying to set some group polices, to hide setting like my computer, network neighbourhood etc. But I have come across a problem hiding the c: drive, I know how to do it but I need the users to run programmes from the c: still(such as paint, office etc). And this is the problem, I'm comming across, Which means I can't have my cake and eat it!
But It's lunch time and I'm Hungry! [cry]

Would appreciate you help.

Thanks
Hayley

Just because the C: drive is hidden from the user doesn't mean they can't run programs. If you hiding everything put shortcuts on their desktops of the approved programs.

But then again if you hide My Computer and the command prompt (IE Disable the Run Menu) then how will they see the c: drive? The shortcuts should still work. But if they are really deperate they can always get to the c: with or with out the hidden idea (Internet Explorer type c:\ and see what happens)

Be a little more specific on what your trying to accomplish and you will get a better answer than what I gave :)
