Is it possible for me to restrict access at a nt4 workstaion to just one nt4 domain user/login?? As many users are logging in to our burner with their accounts which I don't want.
Thanks

On your NT workstation, you can go to

User Manager/Policies/Rights and select "Log on locally". From there, you can limit which users can use the computer. Try looking into the other rights that can be configured under this setting.

Hope this helps

Hi Gensen

This account in question is a domain account and is not listed in the local user manager utility on the workstation.

So, I'll have to try someting else.
Thanks

the workstation User Manager (musrmgr.exe) will show domain users for local access restriction.

>Policies
>User Rights...
>Click "Show Advanced User Rights"
>Scroll to "Log on locally"
>Select "Add..."
>Select "Show Users"
>Choose your user.

Ensure the domain your user is a member of is selected in the "List Names From..." field

This works on every domain I have ever worked on.
Hope this helps.

Blogg,

You can still access the domain user list in the user manager of local workstations when your adding users. Just follow Soonerkid's instructions.
