So, new IPO system with a PRI for an insurance company. The catch is that they have a tenant that is a different business with his own two analog lines. I set the incoming group ID to 1 (from the default 0) and then routed all calls coming in on those 2 trunks to his extension, that was easy. Now how do I limit his outgoing calls to only use the two analog trunks instead of leeching off the PRI for outgoing calls?

User shortcodes

ACSS - SME
APSS - SME
APDS - Unified Communications
ACS - IP Telephony
ACA - IP Telephony

You need a new ARS Entry that targets those 2 lines. With a new Short code that points to the new ARS Entry.

You can do it two ways

Separate dial access short codes

IE 9N for company a and 8N for company B

Example

9N
Dial
N
50:Main

8N
Dial
N
51:Company B

Or if each company has dedicated employees and extns then you can use User short codes to route company A extns to use 50 Main and company B extns to use 51:Company B

In the users for company A you’d add user short code

9N
Dial
N
50:Main

For company B users you’d add the same user short code but change the line id to 51:Company B

You need separate ARs tables One for company A and one for company B that use the lines associated with each company

Thanks! I used the second option. I made a new ARS that pointed to outgoing ID 1, added the shortcode to the single user so that his calls will hit ARS 51 and voala! Working like a charm, incoming and outgoing. Thanks!
