Restrict External email to Mail enabled Distribution list

Hello Everyone,

This may be a simple question but having some problems with it. I want to be able to restrict a mail enabled distribution list from receiving external email. I know that this can happen by specifically adding who can send to the list or specifying "only authenticated users" but the problem is I think these settings will deny our internal relayed messages. We used relayed messages internally pretty frequently for "service" type stuff. Any thoughts?

If a DL isn't to receive email from outside, just remove the SMTP address. That's it.
