Restoring only part of System State?

Hi,
is it possible (using some registry changes I think) to restore only part of the backed up system state? I want to restore active directory from one server to another with different HW and when I do this I got only blue screen :-( I need to doing it by BAB because we are testing something.

I don't think System State selective restore is possible.

NDMP restores in BrightStor 9 build 2040. Has any one tried doing a selective restores? Noticed that all my files were wiped out as the resore progressed. I am talking about files under folders that were not selected to be restored.
