Hi all!

we're running v10 here on windows 2003 - backing up to disk then backing up to tape.

I am trying to do a restore from the tape - i've run inventory and catalogue - but all that's on the tape is a bkf file - no folder struture for where the file was.

I need to somehow catalogue the bkf file to be able to see the folders that have been backed up and restore a particular file - can someone please give me a few pointers how i can do this?

I've looked everywhere on veritas and can't find a way to catalogue the bkf file itself.

thanks!

restore the bkf file to a folder. Then create a backup to disk folder in verits to the location of the bkf file. Then run a inventory/catalog on the backup to disk folder

thanks steveot

do you mean creating the "backup to disk" folder in Devices and then running inventory/catalogue on whatever's in that folder?

Right two step process to restore but it will work
