Ok - not sure how to go about this but I have a dr test lab with an DC that was created about 4 months ago. I want to bring it up to date as far as AD is concerned - and rather than put it back on the production domain I was wondering if there is anyway I can take a backup from one of my other domain controllers and restore from that so that everything is current.

Thanks

Why dont you just re-install the OS fresh. Remove the computer/sid from your production domain. Join it to your production domain and DCpromo? This would pull the information from your up to date DC's and everything is back to normal.

You cant re-direct restore system state to another server

This was more of a just wondering if it was actually possible question. Thanks
