I'm getting this error when trying to restore an informix database (FSHIST) to sys99085:

This is the second time this has happened. Do you know what might be causing this?

To summarise:
You are connecting from psserv1_nb to media server nbu98888 which is controlled by master nbucluster and restoring data from sys9908.

I'll tell you what I do not like about this - Far too many paths and all need to be verified, have servers in the relevant server lists etc. Too many possibilities of communication errors, network timeouts etc - As you are seeing. I never have any restores fail and I'll tell you how ...

Run the restore from sys9908 and not from psserv1_nb which I assume is an administration console? If you cannot (i.e. no administration console on sys9908) then run the restore from nbu98888 and do an alternate client restore.
