Good afternon,

we are intenting set a backup file on BCM400 rls 4.0 and the bcm response "telephony core initialed try again in five minute." and the restore stop

We lost all the database on the system after power failure.

Pls some help

It sounds as if the hard disk was corrupted after the power outage. You might want to get it replaced and try using the restore again.

However, you must follow a set procedure and you could create more problems.

The general rule is to replace the hard disk and wait 20 minutes for it to reboot a few times.

Log in using the default nnadmin account and apply the keycode after changing the time zone from factory default.

I would reboot the BCM and then apply the same system patch that had existed or use the latest system 034 one for the BCM 400 range. The BCM will reboot after this.

I would then install the desktop patch which isn't essential, but it won't cause the BCM to reboot.

Finally carry out the restore using your backup copy and wait until the BCM has rebooted to see if it's restored OK.

If you haven't got a replacement hard disk, then you could try to default all the programming before attempting to do a restore.
