I am attempting to restore our exchange 2000 server to a new instalation. I have selected to restore just the public folders in the 1st storage group. The Public Folders have been dismounted. I receive an error in the application log that the "database can not be overwritten". I am using ntbackup that came with our WIN2K Server. Any advice would be appreciated. (The same results occur with restor of just the private mailboxes as well)

Go to system manager, properties of the databases and check off "this database can be overwritten by a restore" 01110000

Thanks...It worked. Now I have a problem in opening the mailboxes for each of the users that were on the old system. I have recreated their accounts but when I open their mailboxes nothing is in them. I can see that their mailboxes in Exchange have something in them though. Is there a tool that will extract information from an exchange mailbox and export it to a .pst file or something....????
