restore down goes to minimize 1

I cannot locate an application that I try to restore down.
There simply seems to be 2 sizes
1. fully minimized
2. fully maximized

I think the restore down may have gotten shoved off the screen or else mayby shrunk down to a sqare pixel in size? Please help me locate it.
