How do you force a form to resort after you have entered a new record ?

I have created a database for my companies check book and I need it to resort after we enter a new deposit or withdrawal and I can't figure it out for the life of me.

The form is sorted on a combination of the date and an autonumber field, which is calculated in the query.

Thanks,
Laura

Try form.requery. This will reset to the first record so you will need to save the current record and reselect it if you need to return there.

Good Luck!

PS. I have used this on standard forms, but not on continuous forms so let me know if it works.

It works except that it steps through each record in the query which are quite numerous, any idea how to stop that ?

Thanks,
Laura Z
