Please, help me with formatting.
If anyone ever dealt with this kind of Reports you will know what i am talking about.
30 small columns that supose to display quantities and dollar amount.
user keeps adding columns and I am resizing it to the point when I am just ready to check myself into madhouse.

I use to be able to hold Ctlr_Alt keys and move errors and resize my text boxes by tenth of the point but on my new PC this combimation just flips my screen over.

So is there any way in CR 9 I can be resix=zing text boxes easily? Thanks
I am ready to go Legal size paper but I will still have to move those columns anyway every once in a while.

My advice would be to have your user finalise their design before doing anymore work.

Otherwise it will become the never ending story and you will go crazy.

Get them to knock up a prototype in Excel with dummy data and then have them sign off on it before beginning any construction. If your company hired a contractor then that is what they would do - after all - your company would not want to spend 20K on a report. As you are an employee - the user thinks your time is expendable - let them know it is not and needs to be used effectively.

Now you wont need a shortcut to expand/decrease the size of a column!

Hmmm...the nature of the business is that Report was signed off BUT it does not prevent internal users from modifications of the Report. Every time we incure a new client they have new something to add so it is not going to stop. Ever. I just wish I could smoothly go with resizing as i use to be able in CR7. Now it is a nightmare. Thanks

In CR11 you can select multiple columns, and make the sizes the same wide/height.
1) Select the columns
2) put cursor over the column that you want to match size with
3) Right click, select Size | Width.

I don't know if this works for your version.

CR9 does have this feature but what I am saying is if my column can be visibly resized when I am trying to do this it is giving me larger scale then I want. let say I have a tiny 1/100 cm space between some of my columns. I can not resise without taking next column's space.
Scale for resizing is 10 times larger then it should have been. This is why Ctrl_Alt with errows did perfectly, I could resize it by 10th of millimiter. Not anymore.

I understand better now, and I agree that there should be an easier way. I spend more time trying to resize columns, than I'd like ...

I don't think this addresses your overall issue, but have you gone to file->options->and set the grid size to .011, instead of the default? This allows more control.
