I am trying to resize an image from my digital camera to passport size (35mm x 45mm)but I just cannot get these exact sizes. When I enter my size in the width box on resize menu the height box adjusts by itself and i cannot get it to print at the above sizes. What am I doing wrong? Any help greatly appreciated.

I have tried the options you suggested but the width and height wont allow me to put my own sizes in. One or the other keeps adjusting itself when I enter a size.
For example I put the measurements to inches, in the height box I enter my measurement and then the width box just adjusts itself. I then try to overwrite the measurement in the width box and the height box adjusts itself. I then end up with a photo that is either too wide or too short.
This happens with the other measurement settings too.
Do you know if there is anything I can do to get my own sizes?

Try un-checking the "Maintain Aspect Ratio: check box. Then you can enter the sizes without automatically changing the the respective size. With the "maintain Aspect Ratio" unchecked you can enter a width without the height being automatically adjusted.

If I were doing it, I would not uncheck that little box as then the photo will be distorted in one dimension. What kind of application are you sending the photo to? Does it go in a document, or is it to be printed out as a small image? If it is going to be printed, what kind of resolution does the printer have?
What I would do is figure out the proportions and then crop the photo to have the right proportional dimensions. If you are going to print it out, you can control the image size in the print setup. If you are going to use it in a document, just set the scale to be the right size without loosing resolution. If you are going to be using it on a webpage or other on-screen application then save it with less resolution as a gif or jpg in the size you actually want.
I hope you didn't already try unchecking the box as suggested.

I hope he DID try unchecking the maintain aspect ratio. It IS VERY IMPORTANT for people to try all options in Paint Shop Pro to learn about them. The person would have seen that there may have been to much distoration to use what I suggested. If the resizeing wasn't to dramatic, then changing the ratio will NOT be of that much importance.
I don't think we should be suggesting to any user of PSP that they not try something.
