Hi all,
I have a membership database that I've been designing and it is just about ready to use.

I have been adding and deleting records as I test things and now the autonumber is at a high value. There are about 50 actual records in there right now and I don't want to have to reinput them all again.

My question is: Is there a way to reset the autonumber to 1 starting with the first record and changing all the other records' idnumbers into numerical order?

Thanks :)

Not really, however you can cheat. Just copy the table and paste it under a new name (structure only). Then select all of the records from the original table and paste them in the new table. Delete the old table and rename the new one. I think that will work. Rob Marriott
