Hi all

Im trying to reset a password and its telling me that I need to check the minimum password lenght etc.

I have changed all of the secuity policys I can find, local, group policy ones, domain controller and domain. Any idea what else I would need to look for as it wont let me reset any of the users passwords.

Any help would be great, Thanks

Simon

Password requirements are set within the group policy applied to the domain. Open Active Directory Users and Computers, right click on the domain, click properties, click group policy, you should see Default Domain Policy in the group policy object links. If it is not there, click add and select it. Click edit and migrate to Computer Configuration/Windows settings/Security settings/Account policies/Password Policy. Here is where you set password length and complexity. Needless to say you must have administrative rights to do this.
