I would like to reset outlook 2k3 to the welcome screen when you first configure it. Anyone knows how to do that? I've found instructions for outlook 2k but it didn't do the trick.

THanks,

Tools, Options, Other, Advanced Options button and select the default opening.

Here's what I see.

Under General Settings
Startup in this folder

When selecting text, auto...
Provide Feedback w/sound
Show Paste options Button
Use Unicode Message...
Enable Mail logging
Allow script in shared folders
Allow script in public folders

Under Appearance options

Date Navigator
When viewing notes, show tiem and date
Task workding hours per day
task working hours per week.

Buttons at the bottom

Remind Options Add-In Manager
Custom Forms Com Add-Ins
Service Options.

Thanks,

ken

er if you change the startup in this folder to the top-level folder, it'll start in Outlook Today.

I figured out how to reset it.

Before doing this you may want to locate your pst files and save a copy for back up purposes.

To go control panel and open up mail.

Click show profiles. Delete all profiles.

In the run command type in the following exactly as you see it including " and the space before the last "

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\outlook.exe " /cleanprofile

This cleans the registery with the previous profiles.

Open up outlook and it will ask you to create a profile. Type in outlook or anything you want.

Once finished it'll start the welcome wizard and allow you to configure as if its your first time configuring outlook.

OMG, is that what you wanted! That was completely misunderstood. How about:

Start, Run and enter outlook /cleanpst

or

Start, Run and enter outlook /firstrun
