Need to login to old 23.35 OPT 11 to reprogram for redeployment, I don't have passwords. Can you reset them without reloading the sw?

Yes but you neede to know PDT

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

I can get into PDT but I don't know the commands.

either bump it up one level or do a reload.. i will tell you that older rls software was 0000 by default... since that is in the books.. pdt is a good place to stay away from unless you know the commands..

Discussing password reset on a public forum is akin to discussing hacking of phone systems. It's considered a no-no.

I certainly wouldn't explain PDT to anyone but someone who I thought was qualified and trustworthy enough to be given the information.

That document won't work for the 23.55 system. The password needs to be extracted via PDT. This can be done by an authorized channel partner or Nortel.

The comments raised above are correct. There are a number of us who know the process for password reset / recovery etc. We only know it, because we have a requirement to use it on a professional basis. It's not a topic that can be discussed in an open enviroment such as this.

And we have been through some eextensive training in PDT.

What did we learn? A little bit about how to FIX your system, and a WHOLE LOT about how to not break it any further! Right Firebird?

Nortel have to protect, where possible mis use of the "pdt" section. It would not be wise giving regular access to it. Anyway "pdt" = Problem Determination Tool. It stats the correct title!.

It would be like giving a non computer minded person, information on accessing system files via "dos". Is that a good idea?.
