Does anyone know if "Hidden" and "Visible" are reserved words in Oracle 9I?

Oracle9i SQL Reference Release 2 (9.2)
Appendix C
Oracle Reserved Words

Acct98,

And a time-honored method that I use in cases such as this is simply to test it out:

Code:
SQL>  create table yada (hidden number, visible number);

Table created.

Remember, a single test with worth ten expert opinions.

Dave - some people don't like doing 'tests' in case they break something, but I know what you mean :)

Alex

Alex, possibly, but anyone who is writing code typically has a development account where making mistakes is nearly an expectation and doing "tests" certainly is an expectation. And for DBAs, we even have test databases where we "act out" any way we please, right?

Some of the best learning I've ever done is Oracle is via making mistakes and reading/resolving their error messages. Show me someone who never make mistakes in Oracle, and I'll show you someone not worth hiring.

true, but have you noticed how many people on here that don't test out even the most simple questions, or try to find the answer from the docs ?

Alex

I'm under the gun to get things done
so let me just ask a guru.
They've worked more years than I've been alive,
no need for me... to even give it a try.
I'll just post my assignment, kick back and wait,
for them to reply, with an answer that's great.
I'll take the credit as though it was mine,
but if your answer is wrong, you can be sure I will whine!

(I bow to the presence of greatness.... You guys are awesome and I hope one day to be able to impart knowledge to the less initiated. Thanks, gurus! )
