Greetings. I have a database in which I want do a requery on the same form but pull up a different record via the dialog box in the query. When I open the form the first time the form opens as it should, however, when I try the requery, it opens the records in the datasheet view. I want to see the new records on the same form HELP!!

Hi!

There are form properties that let you set what views of the form is allowed. In xp, set allow datasheet view to no, in 2000 (and previous?) set views allowed to Form.

Another "version" of sarching for record, where you also have some validation on the user input, is using a combobox. When starting the wizard, chose the third option "Find a record on my form..."
