Hi,

I am considering installing a reporting server into our SMS 2.0 organisation.
The Crystal Info package that ships with SMS 2.0 can only support 500 clients, however we have many more than that!

Would I be correct in thinking that I could introduce another Primary Site Server that will replace our Central Site Server and install the full blown version of Crystal Reports on that.

Would this work? I am interested in finding out how others have implemented reporting servers.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Regards,
S

Hi,

We have 2500 clients on the central site and the Crystal Info 6 for SMS 2.0 works fine.

Anyway, as we wanted to publish reports accessible by browser, we installed a simple PC with NT SRV, IIS and CR 8 Pro. This machine connects to the central server (or any server in fact) thru WBEM.

Only problem, the scheduling functionnality in Crystal Info 6 are not working with CR8 reports.
