Reporting on Time using a chart (gantt style)

Please help.
I am trying to create a graph which use the rental period of an item over time. It may be that this item has been rented to more than one person.

I have in my report the following fields:-

Item
Rented To
Rental Start (date/time)
Rental End (date/time)

Ideally I would like to create a bar chart which shows the items on the vertical and the horizontal would show the bar made up of the Rented To's over time.

Can anyone help?
