I have a report based on one parameter, that contains a subreport also based on the same parameter, so that is what they are linked on. When I open this report in Crystal Reports, it takes 30 seconds or more to open. Neither the report or subreport are saved with data. If I delete the subreport, the report opens quickly like any other report. Refreshing the report including the subreport takes about 2 seconds, it is only the opening of the report that is slow. If I open the saved subreport by itself, it also opens quickly. I'm using CR version 8.5.
I believe I may be able to re-write this report so that it doesn't use a subreport, but I would still like to know what could cause this behavior. I wasn't sure what info to provide here, I was hoping that this might be something common and I wouldn't have to get into too many details.
All suggestions appreciated,
Kerry
