I have a very strange problem. I have written a report and overwritten the sql query within the report. The report works fine, and is being used within a VB app. However, we are overwriting the parameter values within the report when we run it through the VB app, which also works fine, but it is changing the grouping, or rather making the grouping of the report not work. I really don't know whay or how it would be doing this and would really appreciate some help as it is quite urgent.

(Apart from the changing the parameter value, both SQL queries are exactly the same and the parameter value has absolutely no bearing on the part of the report which is breaking).

Thanks in advance

If anyone is interested, I have found the answer to my problem. If the groups you have included in the report are mentioned within an 'ORDER BY' at the end of the SQL statement you use in the VB app, the problem goes away.
