Report Print or Preview Locks Up

On occasion our internal application will lock up when doing a print preview or sending a report to a printer. I look at the results tables and see no apparent issues with the data. I can use the results tables via the report designer and print the reports but not via the program. This problem shows up on occasion and sometimes after reprocessing the original data (consolidating the data from another application) it just magically goes away – sometimes not. I try re-indexing, running it on a stand alone PC- nothing seems to work. But, then at some point either after doing nothing or reprocessing the base data it starts working again.

Any suggestions on what to look for?

Are you using Foxpro for Windows?
If so, check your printer driver. You will see several posts on this type of problem in this forum.

I am using FP Windows 2.6
Doesn't seem to be a printer driver issue at all.
The current work around seems to address a memory issue. I have one program that allows the user to select one of many different small Foxpro Programs. For some reason if I run the secondary program directly the problem goes away (this time) so I am working on a new selection program using VB instead of Foxpro. We've been running this application this way for years - and have had similar problems on rare occasions. Hopefully, this work around will solve the problem.

These programs are rather simple. Is there an easy way to make sure the first program is releasing all of the memory when it fires the secondary programs?
