Hi... I am using CR9... I have a user who wants a report heading (in this case RHb) to appear at the top of each page of the report. RHb has the labels/names of the fields that were selected in the Detail section... the user wants these labels as reference points when the report gets to 2 or more pages... thanks for any help on this one..

rji1124,

You just need to move those fields from the Report Header to the Page Header section.

Thanks for the speedy reply... I am working in a subreport... no page headings that I can see - this is a report that hase multiple subreports...

On the link above, use lbass's solution. Her approach applies to what you are trying to do.

This will work - except I already a Group Name tha contains the assignee name... if I add another group and set it to the formula as described, it sets the assignee name to 1.0, but the field labels do carry over to each page... I am so close... thanks for your help...

You should use a formula like:

whileprintingrecords;
1

...to group on, setting "repeat group header on each page". This is just a formula that will be true for all records. Make this your group #1, so that your assignee name is group #2. Then remove the group name from the new group and put your page header fields there.
